Half cup sabudana / tapioca - soaked overnight
half cup of sugar
2 cups of milk
2 cups of water
half tsp of cardamon powder
1/4th tsp nutmeg powder
chopped cashews and almonds
- Soak sabudana in water overnight. Boil 2 cups of water and add soaked sabudana to it. Let it cook for 15 mins on high heat.
- Add milk to it when sabudana turns transparent and reduce flame to medium. Keep stirring in between. When milk comes to boil, add sugar and mix well. Then add cardamon and nutmeg powder. Reduce the heat to low.
- Heat up 2 tsp of ghee in another pan and add dry fruits to it. Fry them till they get nice golden color. Pour fried dry fruits to kheer and stir well. Switch off the heat after cooking it for 3-4 mins on low heat.
