half cup rice - wash and soak rice in water for half hour
half cup sugar
2 cups of milk
half tsp of cardamon powder
2 tsp ghee

- Boil 2 cups of water and add soaked rice to it. Cover the pan and let the rice cook for 15 mins on high heat. Smash the rice in water with the help of spatula.
- Add milk and reduce the flame to medium. When milk comes to boil, add sugar to it. Keep stirring in between. Then add cardamon powder and reduce flame to low.
- Heat up 2 tsp of ghee in another pan. Add chopped almonds, cashew. Saute them till they get light golden color. Pour fried dry fruits to kheer and mix well. Let kheer boil for 5-6 minutes, then switch off the heat.
